It is not just the celebrity ladies that need to keep at the top of their skin games. Men are just as much in the public eye if not more these days. There is just as much pressure to keep their skin on point, looking fresh and vibrant. Hugh Jackman is the latest of our skin files celebrity faces. Not only is he ageing gracefully and dare I say becoming more handsome the older her gets! But he is also extremely vocal about sun damage and sun protection. He is a great model for our young Australian men!
When we grow up in the sun from a young age it is hard not to think we are indestructable when it comes to the sun and its harsh UV rays. The truth is that even in the height of winter there are still very harsh and sneaky UV rays that get though and can damage our skin on a daily basis. The more sun we soak up the more at risk we are for skin cancer and this is no secret. Exposure to the sun not only damages the skin but also makes us age prematurely.

Having had over 6 scares himself Hugh is often taking to social media to express the importance of sunscreen. We have to impose this on our children from a very small age. No hat no play and always have on sunscreen. No matter where you are going, even for a drive those UV rays are harsh. Invest in a mini face sunscreen to carry in a bag or a car but do not be caught without.
Regular skin checks are also high on the Hugh agenda. "I go every three months for checkups. It's the new normal for me. My doctor says I'll likely have more and if that's your cross to bear in life, you should be so lucky."
According to the Cancer Council, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the time they are 70, while close to half a million are treated each year. Non-melanoma skin cancer is more common in men, with almost double the incidence compared to women.
So there we have it ladies and gents the lessons of skin from Hugh Jackman and a good lesson at that. He is not out and about talking about his favourite cleanser but a deeper lesson and a real way to look after your skin - protect your skin.
Really look into your spf - it is often that the supermarket products are not the best quality for money so do your research - get the best you can buy - this is a time when you need to splurge.
